A direct descendant of Erik the Red and Leif Erickson of Norway, Linda Kadrich was born in Buffalo Center, Iowa in 1952. She attended nursing school, passing the California Boards in 1972, and moved to Tucson in 1974. Her fraternal twin, Rob, passed away in 1976, and her son, Rob's namesake Robert C. Kadrich, was born in 1982.

Linda graduated with a B.S. from the University of Arizona in 1983, and received awards from Gamma Sigma Delta, the agricultural honor society, in 1982 and 1983. She worked at the Arizona School for the Deaf and Blind for 8 years, and graduated with an M.A. and certification in special education and visually impaired education in 1992. She taught at Maxwell Middle School for 5 years, and for the past 8 years has taught science at Wakefield Middle School.
